Due to popular demand, ITP has added a platinum finish option to its SS212 alloy wheel line. Previously available only in the 15-inch size, this rich platinum finish is now available for the 12- and 14-inch SS212 as well. Two coats of paint plus a coat of gloss clear coat makes this platinum finish as durable as it is attractive.

This one-piece wheel, with a distinctively muscular style, is available in a 12×7 size, as well as unique 14×6 and 14×8 sizes designed specifically for front and rear applications, respectively. These dedicated sizes provide more precise fitment and make the most of 26- and 27-inch radial tire performance on most late-model 4×4 sport/utility ATVs as well as many side-by-side UTV applications. The 14-inch models are a great choice for UTVs, as they carry an 800 lb. load rating (12-inch ATV models are rated at 700 lbs.)!

Like all SS Alloy wheels, the SS212 comes standard with a custom SS wheel cap and is manufactured through ITP’s high-tech Advancecast process, resulting in an incredibly strong yet light final product. ITP is so confident of the SS212’s durability, in fact, that it’s covered by a lifetime structural warranty: if you bend or break it, ITP will replace it!

Since 1982, ITP has grown into the world’s #1 ATV aftermarket tire and wheel source, and continues to provide a complete line of innovative tires and wheel for virtually all ATVs and UTVs. To order, contact your favorite distributor. For a copy of ITP’s full-color product catalog, call toll-free: 1-800-859-4740. For other inquiries or technical advice, contact ITP at 930-A S. Rockefeller Ave., Ontario, CA 91761; (909) 390-1905. Or visit ITP’s website at www.itptires.com.

Pit Bull Tire has busted into the UTV and ATV tire scene and much like their tread, they are leaving their mark!

Pit Bull has come out with a tire that is not only awesome looking, but very very durable. And trust me, I have one of the most powerful UTV’s on the planet and I’ve been doing my best to try and spin these relatively soft, but gnarly looking lugs right off! This is where their ruggedness comes in as I have yet to do so and they show no signs of that happening anytime soon.

The specific Pit Bull Tire that I tested was the new 25.5” Growler X.O.R. on a 12” rim. These tires have a 6 ply rating, siping, multi-varied tread blocks and over-the-shoulder lugs that use Pit Bull’s Fang Technology. That’s some serious technology packed into one tire, so lets see what its got!

It’s been pretty snowy here as of late and what better of a time to test out what is supposedly the best snow tire on the market, less spikes of course. My testing ground is about a 25 mile long gravel road with a mix of crunchy powder, ice, hard pack, dirt, slush, and mud depending on where the sun decides to grace the ground with its warmth. So basically, UTV riding heaven!

My test UTV is a Polaris RZR with a +8 suspension kit, built motor and a turbo force feeding it cold thin air. Sounds like the perfect candidate for a narrow dirt road packed with snow and ice at every turn and climbing from about 7,000ft to about 9,000ft elevation with no guardrails…right? Absolutely!

I ride this road often and I have put probably a couple hundred miles on it with my stock Maxxis Bighorns. So, I’ve got a pretty good basis to go off of at this point. I bolt on my new wheels and tires and without hesitation I head out for 443!

I decide that even though the road is pretty much hard pack with a layer of ice I’m going to see what these Pit Bull Growlers have got and run it in 2WD! Risky I know, but I’ve got faith in my driving skills and my RZR’s setup. I start out a little slow, maybe hitting 30 mph through a few turns. Hmmm feels pretty good. The tires are real predictable and feel solid. So, time for a little more throttle…WOW! I’m driving on ice at about 40 mph and I can hold a drift all the way through the turn! Turn into it a little, ease off the throttle and it straightens right out! Toward the top of the mountain I was literally hooting and hollering out loud as the rush of the driving experience was exhilarating!

I can tell you that I was easily doing 10 mph faster in the turns and 15+ mph faster in the straights than I do with the stock Bighorns! I’ve had a blast with the Bighorn’s and I thought that a tire couldn’t be better, until now! The Growler’s are a SERIOUS dirt/hard pack/snow tire that gives you so much traction you feel like you’re a real rally car driver! They give you the confidence, feedback and traction to push it to the limits and then some!

But don’t just take my word for it, watch it all happen here!

The Pit Bull Tire Company was mostly known by the most hard-core 4×4 guys in the full-sized Off-Road world for their super tough tires and their extreme looking tread patterns, until now! They are busting into the UTV/ATV tire scene just as their snarling Pit Bull logo would imply!

After a quick look-over of the set of Growler X.O.R’s that I was sent, I was really impressed with the tread depth, the overall tread pattern and attention to detail that these tires possess. The small things, such as the chain that runs completely around the tire and the Pit Bull head that is tattooed on the side lugs are just to name a few little detail items that truly set this tire apart for the competition. You can also tell by first glance that Pit Bull has carried over their patented off-road LT design and made a very aggressive looking UTV/ATV tire that isn’t all bark!

BFGoodrich Tires and BlueRibbon Coalition announced today a partnership that will benefit off-roaders and off-road trails alike. BFGoodrich Tires will make a $5 donation to the BlueRibbon Coalition for each of its new 10 sizes of BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/AKM2 tires sold between August 2009 and December 2009.

Due to consumer demand, BFGoodrich recently expanded its line of Mud-Terrain T/AKM2 tire sizes, which are part of the 10 sizes eligible for the contribution. The tire sizes are as follows:

LT345/75R16 LRD • 38X14.50R18 LRD

LT365/75R16 LRC • 40X14.50R18 LRC

38X14.50R17 LRD • 38X14.50R20 LRD

40X14.50R17 LRD • 40X14.50R20 LRC

36X13.50R18 LRD • 42X14.50R20 LRC

“The BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain tire has set the standard in the world of off-roading, both for competitive and recreational uses” said Gary Enterline, senior product category manager, light truck tires for BFGoodrich Tires. “What better way to give back to the community that made the tire what it is today than by teaming up with the BlueRibbon Coalition to help preserve our off-road trails.”

As a respected national recreation group that represents more than 600,000 recreationists nationwide, the BlueRibbon Coalition is dedicated to protecting responsible recreational access to public lands and waters.

“This generous donation from BFGoodrich Tires will help the BlueRibbon Coalition continue working to keep public land open for use, whether you recreate on a mountain bike, snowmobile, motorcycle, personal watercraft, ATV, four-wheel drive, horse or your hiking boots,” said Greg Mumm, executive director of BlueRibbon Coalition.

Inspired by the BFGoodrich Tires Krawler(tm) T/AKX tire, which is the most successful tire in rock-crawling history, BFGoodrich Tires incorporates Krawler TEK(r) technology into the BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/AKM2 TriGard(r) sidewall. Krawler TEK technology consists of three main components: aggressive sidewall lugs, cut- and chip- resistant sidewall compounds and sidewall cords that are up to 33 percent stronger than the previous Mud-Terrain T/AKM tire. These advancements allow for more bite and sidewall protection along with increased strength and resistance to bruising caused by rocks and rough trails.

Using motorsports as a proving ground for more than 30 years, BFGoodrich Tires is involved in every type of racing, including oval, sports car, drifting, drag, desert, dirt, rally and extreme rock-crawling. BFGoodrich Tires combines technological expertise with vast motorsports experience, delivering a high-performance tire for every type of vehicle. Visit BFGoodrich Tires online at www.bfgoodrichtires.com.

Leave it to ITP to deliver the ATV/UTV industry’s first production snow and ice tire! The all-new TundraCross features 96 carbide-tipped steel case studs that are strategically placed for maximum performance on ice and snow. The TundraCross is based on ITP’s highly successful TerraCross R/T XD design, and features fully sipped (thinly cut) lugs, which result in more traction-grabbing edges and maximum traction in loose, slippery conditions.

Its tough 6-ply bias construction is light in weight and offers excellent flotation to keep the tire “on top” of the snow. A proven Rim Guard keeps snow and ice out of the bead area and protects the wheel lip. The TundraCross debuts in two sizes: 25×9-12 (P/N 560544) and 25×10-12 (P/N 560545).

According to Minnesota-based Rox Speed FX, who assisted in the development of this tire, “These carbon studs have no mercy on whatever surface they come in contact with, not only clawing their way through ice and snow but over frozen logs and dirt. With the TundraCross mounted we now welcome the onset of winter and all its changes and challenges. The TundraCross adds one more season of capability to any utility/4×4 ATV or side-by-side UTV, helping to put the ‘all’ in all-terrain.”

Since 1982, ITP has grown into the world’s #1 ATV/UTV aftermarket tire and wheel source, and continues to provide a complete line of innovative tires and wheels for virtually all ATVs and UTVs.
ITP’s popular, proven T-9 series of spun aluminum wheels has been expanded with the introduction of the all-new Pro Mod line. Highlights of the ITP T-9 Pro Mod include a head-turning polished finish, a double-rolled lip for excellent durability and ease of tire mounting, rugged yet lightweight .190 wall construction and the rigorous QS 9000 quality certification.

What sets the Pro Mod apart from the rest of the T-9 line is its classic off-road modular style and an angled outer wheel face. This unique design adds considerable strength to the wheel center without a weight penalty. In fact, the T-9 Pro Mod is significantly lighter than its competition, reducing unsprung weight and rotating mass for noticeable performance gains.

This manufacturing makes the T-9 Pro Mod ideal for use on heavier ATVs and UTVs, applications where spun aluminum wheels were formerly inappropriate. The T-9 Pro Mod is available in a wide variety of bolt patterns for many popular 4×4 ATVs as well as side-by-side UTVs such as the Yamaha Rhino, Kawasaki’s Teryx and Mule, and the Polaris Ranger and RZR. The T-9 Pro Mod is available in 12×7 and 14×7 sizing with 4+3 offsets.

Since 1982, ITP has grown into the world’s #1 ATV/UTV aftermarket tire and wheel source, and continues to provide a complete line of innovative tires and wheels for virtually all ATVs and UTVs.
The T7 Beadlock uses a billet outer ring that clamps the tire to the wheel, greatly reducing the risk of the tire debeading from the wheel when using lower tire pressures or when the tire is subjected to heavy side loads. As an added benefit, this ring also strengthens a wheel that’s already known for its rugged durability.

Manufactured through ITP’s exclusive Advancecast process, the T7 Beadlock meets rigorous QS 9000 quality specifications and arrives with a stunning polished or black finish in 12×7 and 14×7 sizes for most of today’s popular sport-utility ATVs and side-by-side UTVs.

The T7 Beadlock comes standard with a polished ring, but enthusiasts interested in giving their machine a custom look will be happy to know that the T7 Beadlock’s ring is also available in black, blue or red powdercoat finishes!

According to a recent Powersports Business article, Polaris ATV sales are down a whopping 30-35 percent and Ranger/RZR sales are down 10-15 percent from last year. With these figures I would guess is the main reason we are seeing product delays and announcements from all side x side manufactures. The good news is Polaris, Honda and Yamaha seem to be increasing market share of ATVs/UTVs while Suzuki, Can-Am, Kawasaki and Arctic Cat are the ones giving it up. I was a little surprised to see Kawasaki losing ground because I thought the Teryx’s were selling quite well considering. Can-Am has die hard fans begging for a side x side vehicle with no luck yet, not even a spy shot to keep people hanging on. Suzuki mentioned a few years ago about entering the UTV market, but like Can-Am we haven’t seen or heard anything lately.

For 2009, ITP is proud to introduce its most rugged tire ever, the all-new BajaCross. This tire is Baja proven to handle the toughest and heaviest UTV applications, and it performs impressively in a wide variety of terrain conditions on 4×4 and utility ATVs as well.

An 8-ply rating and 25% stronger construction has resulted in a high level of durability. Our extended-life rubber compound and innovative overlapping tread pattern provides a smooth, predictable ride as well as slow wear characteristics — this is the highest-mileage tire ITP has ever produced! Stepped lugs provide consistent tread edges as the tire wears, for predictable performance throughout the long life of the tire. Wraparound lugs provide improved shoulder protection, while a super deep Rim Guard feature offers the best wheel lip protection in the business. Despite its strength, the BajaCross’s advanced carcass design delivers the most comfortable, trail-compliant ride available.

The ITP BajaCross is now available in four sizes: 25×8R-12, 25×10R-12, 26×10R-14 and 26×11R-14.

Since 1982, ITP has grown into the world’s #1 ATV/UTV aftermarket tire and wheel source, and continues to provide a complete line of innovative tires and wheels for virtually all ATVs and UTVs. For a copy of ITP’s full-color product catalog, call toll-free: 1-800-859-4740. For other inquiries or technical advice, contact ITP at 930-A S. Rockefeller Ave., Ontario, CA 91761; (909) 390-1905.
