Does Polaris Have Something Up Their Sleave?

polaris-engine-questionThere has been a lot of speculation of late on Polaris Industries next move. Are they just going to stay status quo and be content with the 800cc motor or are they going to take advantage of their recent success and step it up yet again? Since Polaris really has the rest of the UTV market on its heels, it just might be great timing!

We recently received a tip from Dirty Dawg Performance, located just an hour away from Polaris Industries head office, which might indicate that Polaris might be making the jump!

As of July 1, 2009 the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources enacted legislation to change the definition of an all-terrain vehicle.  The engine size limited to register as an all-terrain vehicle has changed from “less than 800cc”, to “less than 960cc”!

This just might be the tipoff that Polaris will release a new, larger engine for the RZR at this months dealer expo, which will be held on July 22 & 23 of this year!

To speculate and discuss this topic more, head on over to RZRForum.net!

Thanks for tip Dirty Dawg Performance!
